Housemaid is wanted and Hated

The Fate and Problems of the housemaids are determined by the employers, while the housemaids do not appreciate properly. Other problem of women who work abroad are not finished, and often ends in death and miseries. This problem add to the long list of grim fate of housekeeper. When will the fate of the woman change? Will the housemaid and woman workers get their rights as a human being to work and to earn and get justice for living? or they will be remainded as the wanted and the hated woman.

The majority of our society still looks women's roles and work as a housemaid as not honorable job. Cooking, washing, cleaning and maintaining the house, and others, are seen as the work of no value or is not a professional job, because it is only 'a matter of taking care of the house'.

This causes the women labor, in the case domestic workers, getting a very low salary, and not commensurate with their hard work and non stop working in home of the wealthy family. Almost no time to rest and holidays.

Coupled with the absence of security, health and well-being, both from employers and government. It is the fate of housekeeper worsen. Discriminatory !!! The Need of Haousemaid Worker
In the meantime, in this modern age, the need for housemaid/helper is increased. In 2013 there were approximately 10.7 million domestic workers who work in Indonesian families. Almost all of them poorly educated and came from rural areas.

Level of wages and conditions of employment as well as there is no legal guarantees, while they are required to do all the work. Of course this is not worth and not fair, because the responsibility and the wages they receive is not comparable. Violence, discrimination and poverty still haunts Indonesian women and takes place in every sphere of life.

Unpleasant treatment, degrading and employment status, maltreatment, sexual abuse, improper remuneration to acts of violence against domestic workers are mostly dominated by women, are forms of discrimination and impoverishment of the role and work of women in the domestic sector.

The absence of the protection of domestic workers as citizens is a form of discrimination by society or state against female workers and at the same time the impoverishment of women.
If discrimination and impoverishment against women, particularly domestic workers, are not addressed, then the poverty rate and a decrease in the welfare of society will continue to grow. If domestic workers in the country are not getting the protection, especially the housemaid working abroad

Conclusion
The solution for all the housemaid problems is the adoption of Bill of Legal Protection and legalized by the House of Representative and by the Government.
Thus, it becomes important Bill on Employment to be legalized as soon as possible. And it contains about legal guarantees and decent wages for domestic workers.
At least, with the passage of the bill, housemaid worker as a profession which has rights and obligations and obtain basic rights. Recognition of domestic workers as a profession is expected to protect the rights of domestic workers as workers.
The protection of women's labor is something that must be fought so that cases affecting domestic workers can be reduced. This is not just a matter of a decent wage, but also about the recognition of the humanity.
