Water bodies vary based on origin of  formation: ditches, rivers, fonds, lakes, seas, and oceans. Man living closed to the water body takes benefits from them. However, those who are living far from the water body has to find other water source. Hydrological cycles make water travels throughout the globe. Infiltrate water stands (as store water) and travels in the ground. This cycle of infiltration water make possible for human to take benefit of it.
The existance of water in the ground is a very important source of water for living. Ground water is stored in layers called aquifers. Aquifer is a source of ground water is very important. The aquifer can be found on the coastal plain, the foot of the mountain, the valley between the mountains, alluvial plains and areas of karst topography.
The use of groundwater should consider groundwater sustainability factors, which include water quality and quantity factors. Way to maintain the quantity of groundwater is to apply the recharge wells. The benefit to be gained from the use of recharge wells are:
- It will increase the volume of water stored.
- It will reduce the volume of streaming water on the surface of land causing erosion .

Capability of soil to infiltrate water is necessary to increase the amount of water that enters the soil and thus fluctuations in groundwater levels during wet and dry seasons are not too sharp.
The presence of infiltration wells will provide the effects of reduced surface runoff. Rainwater that falls above the original surface of the tile is not directly to the drain or yard but flowed through the zinc continues to be accommodated into the recharge wells. As a result of that could be felt was rain water does not spread to yard or gutter so that it will reduce the occurrence of surface runoff.
This way of storing water (home infiltration wells) for the use of fulfilling human need has some influencial effects to welfare of human and ecological preservation values.
